2025 Tayside Singles

The Tayside Singles returns to Arbroath in 2025 and we're hosting the event at Shotz....

Date for your diary - Saturday 25th January.....

Entry Fee - £10 per player

Player Restriction - Must reside and play in a team that plays their pool in the old Tayside Region Area.

Deadline for entries - Sunday 19th January.....strict deadline - no pay, no play!

Playing conditions will be typical high standard with pro-cup balls used.

Blackball rules, with races to three, as a minimum. Depending on entries this may increase.

JINKY IS TAYSIDE KING, AGAIN!

Jimmy Pollock is the 2025 Tayside Champion, overhauling a gallant Shaun Cookson, 5-4, in the final.


2025 Tayside Singles Review

Jimmy ‘Jinky’ Pollock claimed his umpteenth Tayside Singles title yesterday (25th January). Whilst racking up another title he did cut through an extremely tough field of entries.
His opponent in the final though, Shaun Cookson, was in equally as formidable form as wee Jinky. Shaun himself exhibited some exquisite finishes in his run up to the final, marginally missing a blackball to win the title himself.

The finest of margins and it could have been a maiden win. It wasn’t to be and the wee man stepped into the table and took away a tremendous finish for the win.
Unlucky Shaun, and congratulations to Jimmy.

An honourable mention to the defeated semi-finalists – Iain Soutar and Ryan Martin, both putting together great runs on the day.

Thank you to every single player that entered, played on the day. Without the support of the players, we don’t have these events, it’s that simple.
