Well done to Arbroath's David Jack, 2022 Tayside Champion!
David and Marc have met each other at this stage of this particular event no less than four times!
It was sure to be a cracker given the level of consistency that both players have shown, not just recently, but over the past few years...it was nip and tuck throughout the first have dozen frames until David managed to sneak ahead 4-3; with a mini tactical battle ensuing in the penultimate frame of the match. David managed to find the winning edge and push himself over the finish line and take home the title.
Commiserations to Marc, who cannot be disappointed with his achievement on the day.
Thanks to Shotz Pool and Snooker, for their hosting and sponsorship into the prize pot!
Also to the players who entered and managed along, I hope you all had a great day.
Lastly, but by no means least, thanks to Dave McLaren; the man is always beavering away working in the background; he collated the names etc and carried out the draw in advance of him taking off to London on a well deserved break!
