Re: Division 2 Title (On Ice?)
LETHAM BRING IT HOME - DIVISION 2 CHAMPIONS Maybe that title was on ice, but it's by sure not now! Well done to Craig Gowans and his Letham team, who after a resounding win tonight, are officially the new Division 2 Champions. Looking back the team were pushed towards the front end of the season, but kept themselves in and around that top spot, but soon started to build momentum, and with that, a lead at the top - which they never looked back from. Brilliant from the team, a great bunch of people too - and in the words of their Capitano - "This one was for George McKiddie". A touch of class right there and no doubt George is enjoying a wee tipple and toasting away to the success of the team!

Re: Division 2 Title (On Ice?)
Letham travel to Spiders Web tonight, knowing that avoiding defeat will see them crowned Champions of Division 2. Should they do that, they'll have wrapped it up in some style with a handful of games to spare.... All eyes on Spiders Web tonight....

Re: ADPL 4-Person Team Event
Congratulations to Station 1B, who are the2023-24, ADPL 4-Person Team Champions. An all Station final saw both teams playout the four singles equally and forcing the dreaded penalty shoot-out. After a wavering start, it came down to the experienced Gordon "Tricky" Dickson to slot home the winning "spot-kick" and win his team the trophy! The winning team comprised of Greg Alexander, Colin Brown, Gordon Dickson and Steve Webster, a formidable force! Well done lads. The Plate Event was an all Porty affair where Porty 2B ran out 3-1 winners against there foes, Porty 2A. Well done Porty 2B - James Curran, Steve Reid, Peem Twaddle and Shane Twaddle. A great night (I think) had by all. Thank you to everyone that managed along to support the event. Thanks to Shotz and their staff too for their efforts.

Re: ADPL 4-Person Team Event
Message to Captains last night…. Good evening all. Just a quick update. We have 16 teams for tomorrow nights 4-person event. With that in mind we’ll go for a Knockout event from the start, where those who don’t progress to the second round will go into a plate event. So everyone will play at least two matches. We’ll also go for a 7.45pm sign-in when the draw will be made with an 8pm start. One or teams will be slightly later but we can accommodate this on the night. Looking forward to this one; it’s a relatively fun evening and enjoyable for all. If you can relay this to your teams please, it would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and remember the entry fees

After last night's league registration, we have 17 teams continuing for the new season. Thank you to all of the teams and their players who have continued to support the ADPL. As discussed at the AGM it was inevitable we'd return to a two division format and, with the continued uptake in teams, the ADPL Committee have confirmed the following divisions:- Division 1 1 Cliffburn 1 2 Merchants 3 Newgate 1 4 Seaton 1 5 Shotz 6 Shotz 3 7 Station 8 Thee Fab Bar Division 2 1 Cliffburn 2 2 Legion 1 3 Legion 2 4 Letham 5 Newgate 2 6 Ram's Heid 7 Shotz 2 8 Spiders Web 9 St Tams 10 Bar 1320 In Division 1, each team shall play each other four times; two home and two away. In Division 2, each team shall play each other three times, which will be a mixture of one home/two away or two home/one away. Our anticipated start date is Tuesday 19th September 2023. We are currently preparing the fixtures, along with reviewing the Events Calendar and will confirm the dates for the forthcoming season as soon as possible. Regards, Bash
